The Potts Point Library is a contemporary project designed to integrate seamlessly into Sydney’s eastern suburbs. The design focuses on functional zoning through a methodical approach of boxing and categorizing spaces, ensuring efficient organization and flow. Public areas like reading rooms and community spaces are positioned for accessibility, while private zones, such as staff offices, are strategically placed for privacy. The exterior design reflects this internal organization through varied materials and forms.

The project employs a holistic approach, ensuring the library complements the surrounding urban fabric while introducing modern elements. Sustainable practices, including natural lighting and ventilation, are prioritized, and the design allows for flexibility to adapt to future community needs. The Potts Point Library is envisioned as a dynamic civic space that not only meets functional needs but also enriches the local community, becoming a landmark in the area.
